If you're training Muay Thai or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), you know the grind is real. But what happens when that nagging shoulder pain becomes more than just a minor annoyance? Well, I've been there, and I'm here to share my story and a game-changing exercise that might just save your training. The Struggle Starts: So, about two years ago, I started feeling this weird soreness and strain in my shoulder. No big deal, right? I thought so too. A little massage gun action, some lacrosse ball rolling, and I'd be back in the game. But as my classes and client bookings piled up, that shoulder issue decided to stick around. Hunting for Solutions: I tried everything. Rehab exercises, specialists, scraping, cupping, you name it. Sure, I'd get temporary relief, but the pain always crept back in. It got to the point where certain movements would give me serious grief, and my mobility started going out the window. The Turning Point: Then, I stumbled upon a video that changed the game. (I wish I could remember the name - sorry, but I'll link it below!) It introduced me to a dumbbell exercise that, honestly, felt weird at first. Nerves, strange sensations, you name it. But I stuck with it. The Exercise Breakdown: Picture this: Grab a dumbbell, slide your hand to the edge, rotate your palm outward, and bring it around your head. Like you're zipping up a jacket. It's an odd position, but that's the magic. I started with fives, moved up to tens, and now I'm working with 15s. Five rotations outside, five inside. Repeat. Trust me; it's a game-changer. Results and Recovery: I did this exercise every day for a week, and guess what? Instant results. Strength came back, and the pain? Gone. I can't tell you how relieved I am after struggling for nearly two years. Now, I do it three times a week, and my shoulder feels better than it has in ages. Closing Thoughts and Your Turn: Look, I'm no medical pro, but if you're dealing with stubborn shoulder issues, maybe give this a shot. Of course, if it's serious, see a pro. I'm just sharing what worked wonders for me. Watch the video, follow the exercise, and let me know how it goes. Recovery is just as vital as training, my friends. If this helps you out, throw a like and subscribe. Let's kick that shoulder pain to the curb and keep doing what we love! See you on the mat!
