Today you wake up and at first you forget another year has passed, but soon you remember. Then you start to reflect on the year that has ended.
  • Was it hard?
  • Was it easy?
  • Or was it a little bit of both?
  • Who were you? What did you do?
  • Could you be better?
  • Could you do better?
  • Does all the reflection and contemplation help?

Maybe. Maybe not.

One thing is for sure, going backwards doesn’t often get you moving forward, and you need to move forward. Because the only way through is forward the only way forward is looking to your next step, your next goal.

Taking your betterment inch by inch forging a new path in a new year. Seek discomfort to force growth and advancement.

See the road ahead and the steps to get there and then you put one foot in front of the other.

You’ll find your way to the things you want, just keep it moving.

This is an excerpt of my 2021 New Year Motivation video. I wanted to share this in hopes of motivating anyone to get moving forward. Regardless if you read this at the beginning, middle or end of the year - get motivated - get moving.

What are your goals to move forward? Try one of our classes for free - lift weights in our strength training session, learn the Martial Art of Muay Thai or our fun Kickboxing class.

If you are a beginner, don't hesitate to try one of our classes. We meet you at your level and help push you to get better.

Start moving forward.

I am Rad Durousseau, the owner and head instructor of Rad Muay Thai Fitness Center in Aurora Colorado. I love to share whatever I can to help whomever I can to grow through training in what I call Martial Athletics. I use functional strength training and conditioning to strengthen my martial arts and I use martial arts to compliment my S&C training in an effort to create a complete Martial Athlete and next level human being.
