Frequently Asked Questions
Trying something new can feel intimidating, especially if you have never trained martial arts before. Don’t worry — we’ll walk you through everything when you arrive. This page will help you feel prepared before your first class at Rad Muay Thai & BJJ.
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first visit is simple. You’ll check in at the front desk, meet our staff, get a quick overview of the gym, and then we’ll help you get ready for class.
This gives us time to check you in, verify your waiver, check your ID, answer questions, and get you settled before class begins.
No problem — we’ll happily reschedule your trial for another day. For safety reasons, once class has started, we do not allow late arrivals to jump in.
Do I need to bring an ID?
Yes. Please bring a Colorado State ID to check in for your free trial. A passport is also acceptable.
Is the free trial for everyone?
Our free trial is intended for local residents who are considering becoming members at RMT.
If you are visiting from out of town, we kindly ask that you use our drop-in option instead of the free trial.
As a small business, we truly appreciate your understanding and support.
What if I’m a complete beginner?
You are absolutely welcome here. Many of our students started with no martial arts experience, no athletic background, and plenty of nerves before their first class.
Our classes are built to help beginners learn safely while still giving experienced students room to grow. You do not need to be “in shape” before starting. You just need to show up, listen, and put in effort.
