what should i expect during my first visit?
What Should You Wear?

Muay Thai & Kickboxing: Wear comfortable clothing you can jump, kick & run in. Leggings, fight shorts, Muay Thai shorts or a combination of both are great. 

Brazilian Jiujitsu: We have 2 type of BJJ classes. BJJ "GI" and "NO GI" During either class you will want to wear a rash guard or dry fit shirt and leggings, shorts or BJJ GI pants. Men are required to wear a groin protector during "NO GI". During BJJ GI class, you will wear a BJJ GI (Example)


Things To Know:

Arrive on time, preferably at least 15 minutes prior to class to fill out the class participation waiver. 

Give yourself a little extra time so you can familiarize yourself with the gym layout and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have before class begins.

Bring a water bottle.


-Muay Thai class will begin with everyone lining up on the mat in order of rank & height.  You will not need any equipment at this time.  You will find your location in the back of the group in the last row. Kru Rad will bow everyone into class and begin the warm up & instruction for the session. At the end of class, everyone will gather on the mat for a seat, class will end with a discussion and Kru will bow everyone out of the session.

-Cardio Kickboxing class is less formal. Class will begin at the top of the hour. You do not need your gloves just yet. Join us on the mat for warm up. Once the warm up is over you will be instructed to grab your gloves.

-Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class will begin with the class lined up against the wall in order of rank and height. Professor Rad will begin the class instruction.

Equipment Needed
Loaner equipment is available for you to use during your free trial, however it is subject to availability based on class attendance so it is not guaranteed. Due to Covid it is highly recommended you purchase your own equipment as soon as possible. Equipment is available for purchase in our Pro Shop.

Muay Thai 
  • 14-16oz. Boxing/Muay Thai Gloves
  • Hand wraps
  • Shin guards
  • Mouth guard 
  • Headgear when sparring
  • Thai or Fight Shorts

Kickboxing
  • 14-16oz. Boxing/Muay Thai Gloves
  • Hand wraps

Brazilian Jujitsu
  • BJJ No GI Class: Wear a rash guard or dry fit shirt, shorts, leggings or GI pants.
  • Men must wear a groin protector
  • Brazilian Jiujitsu GI Class: GI, recommend wearing rash guard or dry fit shirt under gi.

"What if I'm a beginner?"

We receive this inquiry very often. Many ask if our classes would be a good fit for someone who has no martial arts training or background, or even someone who has not done a lot of fitness or athletics in general.

The answer is YES it would be a good fit! 

We specialize in teaching our classes to anyone who is willing to try and put forth effort.

Our curriculum is tailored toward beginners and fit for advanced students who are dedicated and disciplined.

We are able to handle all levels from beginner - advanced. 

We aim to provide a safe and comfortable environment for anyone who has not trained in a Martial Arts environment.
