Kru Rad of Rad Muay Thai
(Ready And Determined) Muay Thai Fitness was formed by Rad Durousseau. Rad has been a trainer for over a decade. While bodybuilding and competing in triathlons Rad began training in Mixed Martial Arts to supplement his training. Combat sports athletes are some of the best athletes in the world, and their training is second to none. Rad completely transitioned over to combat sports and functional training.
In 2007 Rad went blind from an eye condition called Keratoconus. Fortunately a corneal transplant saved his vision, but he was left unable to compete in striking competition.
Because of this, for several years Rad focused exclusively on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and won over 10 divisional titles in Colorado and 2 Absolute titles. One of which was a purple belt Super Heavyweight absolute title in Oklahoma.
Rad is currently a brown belt under Professor Henry Matamoris.
Rad would follow his passion and return to Muay Thai. He felt the need to learn as much about striking in several disciplines as he could. Training boxing, kickboxing, striking for MMA, and specifically Muay Thai. Rad trained for years with a strong team of trainers and fighters at American Top Team Altitude in Aurora, Colorado. Where he taught for several years.
Over the last several years, Rad has had the pleasure and honor to train with Master Hung D. Tran, president and founder of the Tran Muay Thai Association here in Colorado, and is a Kru level instructor under Master Tran and the TMTA. Rad has also spent time training in Thailand.
Rad has adopted a functional training mindset and gears all his strength and conditioning classes around this modality. This helps improve a person's overall fitness and best shapes athletes. Rad doesn't believe in wasted movements and trains his students and clients to move better in any function. He believes there is no better tool to achieve this than the kettlebells.
Rad is Level 1 and Level 2 KFIT Kettlebell certified.
Rad has trained for several MMA, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai fighters.
Rad's passion is for his students. The people who turn to martial arts to better themselves. Both mentally and physically. You don't have to be a professional fighter to train like one.
Coach Mitch was one of Kru Rad’s very first students and has been training with him for 7 years now. He currently trains in various striking forms and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He also regularly trains effectively in strength and conditioning to compliment his martial arts. This is the standard for students of RMT.
In his time at RMT Mitch has earned his Level 1 Instructor Certification through the Tran Muay Thai Association as well as earned his Bo Black Pra Jiad in Rad Muay Thai.
Mitch is currently a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Henry Matamoris and actively competes in BJJ.
Mitch is an active amateur fighter. His current record is:

Coach Kendra has been training at Rad Muay Thai for about 5 years. She trains as a Martial Athlete in that she trains martial arts and strength and conditioning to maintain her athleticism. This is a standard for students of RMT.
Kendra has always been intrigued by martial arts, and when she came to RMT she was looking to try something completely out of her comfort zone. Feeling unhealthy she wanted to get in shape and felt martial arts would be a good fit. Kendra immediately committed to being a martial artist and athlete and has now become an instructor to help teach and inspire others to find their passion for martial arts and training while growing our community here at RMT.
In her time at RMT Kendra has earned her Level 1 Instructor Certification through the Tran Muay Thai Association as well as earned her Bo Black Pra Jiad in Rad Muay Thai.
She currently holds an amateur Muay Thai record of 1 and 1.
In addition to being a martial arts coach she is also the gym's resident nurse and physical therapist
Coach Jeff has been training with RMT for about 4 years. Prior/and in addition to his Muay Thai training, Jeff is a certified personal trainer. Like all instructors at RMT, Jeff utilizes functional strength and conditioning to enhance his martial arts and his martial arts to enhance his athletic performance. This of course makes him a Martial Athlete as is the standard for RMT.
Jeff was diagnosed with Lupus in 2008 and found his passion for fitness and started to incorporate other forms of training to combat his condition and stay in better overall shape. Jeff’s overall passion to help others discover fitness and a healthier lifestyle came from his physical achievements while having an autoimmune disease. He wishes to inspire others with similar health issues.
In his time at RMT Jeff has earned his Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor Certification through the Tran Muay Thai Association and is currently a Brown Pra Jiad in Rad Muay Thai.
Jeff is a Level 1 and Level 2 KFit Kettlebell Certified trainer, including Level 1 Performance Therapy Academy in physical therapy. He is certified via Expert Rating in personal training and certified via NASM Nutrition.
